In its 25th year, the Frisco Education Foundation is awarding more senior scholarships than ever before.
The Class of 2025 joins a growing list of FISD graduates who are headed into higher education bolstered by FEF scholarships. Over 1,000 scholarships totaling $801,325 were awarded to 882 students graduating this year.
Funding is provided by a variety of sources, including FEF, individual donors, booster clubs, PTA/PTO/PTSAs, community organizations, service organizations, corporate entities, memorial scholarships and school organizations.
Because of the size of the scholarship program, recipients were honored at several separate events. Booster club scholarship recipients are being honored at year-end banquets, some PTA/PTSAs recognized their recipients April 16 at a Frisco RoughRiders game, and other PTA/PTOs honored recipients at “welcome back” gatherings at elementary and middle schools.
Scholarship recipients receiving a non-booster club and/or non-PTA/PTSA/PTO scholarship were recognized on May 15 at the FEF Scholarship Event at Comerica Center.
“The Frisco Education Foundation is honored to help launch these students into the next chapter of their lives,” said Ashley Sine, FISD Community Relations Director. “Each scholarship reflects the confidence we have in their potential and the lasting impression they’ve made on our schools. Best of luck to them on the journey ahead!”
Congratulations to all the scholarship recipients!
